CBD is one of more than 80 active cannabinoid chemicals in cannabis and hemp. Unlike tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD does not produce euphoria or intoxication. Cannabinoids have their effect mainly by interacting with specific receptors on cells in the brain and body: the CB1 receptor, found on neurons and glial cells in various parts of the brain, and the CB2 receptor, found mainly in the bodys immune system. There is also growing evidence that CBD acts on other brain signaling systems, and that these actions may be important contributors to its therapeutic effects. Pre-clinical research has shown CBD to have a range of effects that may be therapeutically useful, including anti-seizure, antioxidant, neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-tumor, anti-psychotic, anti-anxiety, and more. Nanotechnology has provided the possibility of delivering drugs to specific cells using nanoparticles. The overall drug consumption and side-effects may be lowered significantly by depositing the active agent in the morbid region only and in no higher dose than needed. Targeted drug delivery is intended to reduce the side effects of drugs with concomitant decreases in consumption and treatment expenses. Drug delivery focuses on maximizing bioavailability both at specific places in the body and over a period of time. The efficacy of drug delivery through nanomedicine is largely based upon: a) efficient encapsulation of the drugs, b) successful delivery of drug to the targeted region of the body, and c) successful release of the drug. Functionalities can be added to nanomaterials by interfacing them with biological molecules or structures. The size of nanomaterials is similar to that of most biological molecules and structures; therefore, nanomaterials can be useful for both in vivo and in vitro biomedical research and applications. Thus far, the integration of nanomaterials with biology has led to the development of diagnostic devices, contrast agents, analytical tools, physical therapy applications, and drug delivery vehicles. https://www.google.com/patents/WO2016144376A1?cl=en

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How is hemp different from marijuana?
A: Hemp and marijuana are two different varieties of Cannabis Sativa, a flowering herb indigenous to many parts of the world. "Marijuana" is cultivated for high levels of THC, which is concentrated mostly in the flowers of the plant. Industrial Hemp is cultivated for its fiber, and has almost undetectable levels of THC and comparatively higher levels of CBD. Hemp has been grown and cultivated worldwide for thousands of years for industrial and medical purposes, making useful items like rope, clothing, sails, paper, and thousands of other products. Hemp is not psychoactive, and, unlike marijuana, does not get you "high".
Q: What is CBD?
A: CBD stands for cannabidiol, the most prominent naturally-occurring phytocannabinoid component found in hemp. According to the US Government, cannabidiol is "a cannabinoid devoid of psychoactive effect". After THC (D9-tetrahydrocannabinol), CBD is by far the most studied natural phytocannabinoid. According to many researchers, CBD may be the single most important cannabinoid ever discovered, and this important compound of the hemp plant promotes and supports nutritional health of aging bodies. Q: What is the Endocannabinoid System?
A: The endocannabinoid system (ECS) regulates relaxation, eating, sleeping, certain inflammation responses and even cognitive function. There are two types of endocannabinoid receptors found throughout the body (CB1 and CB2), but they are most abundant in the brain and immune system respectively. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endocannabinoid_system

Q: Will CBD help me or a family member with our illness?
A: Though we hold our opinions, due to FDA regulation, we cannot make any claim about whether CBD can help with any specific medical ailment. We do, however, highly recommend you do your own research! Try to focus only on scientific research, NOT on the plethora of opinions readily available on and offline. For instance, typing "scholarly articles cannabidiol" into Google is a great start!
Q: Will CBD help me if am healthy?
A: Each individual is unique and has different wellness goals through consumption of our products. These products are considered nutritional supplements or food (according to FDA guidelines) until we have completed clinical testing and received regulatory approvals. Feedback we have received from various consumers has been very positive. We encourage you to discuss CBD with your doctor or healthcare practitioner if you have specific healthcare related questions or concerns. There is also a plethora of information and research studies on CBD available online.
Q: Will your product get me "high"?
A: No. The CBD in our products is derived from carefully cultivated hemp plants that are naturally high in CBD content, not marijuana which contains high amounts of THC. This product is 100% THC free.
Q: How is this product legal without a doctor recommendation?
A: CBD derived from HEMP is legal, CBD derived from marijuana is not. A "physicians recommendation" or "medical marijuana card" is not needed to purchase our products because they are not made from marijuana and contain no THC. Industrial HEMP is legal to consume, use, import and sell in the United States. Our products are considered food or dietary supplements, and CBD is a natural constituent of the hemp plant. Source: The United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in Hemp Industries Assn., v. Drug Enforcement Admin., 357 F.3d 1012 (9th Cir. 2004), recognized that non-psychoactive hemp [that] is derived from the mature stalks or is oil and cake made from the seeds of the Cannabis plant, fits within the plainly stated exception to the CSA definition of marijuana. As such, the court determined that the government (i.e. DEA) has no authority under current law to completely ban "the parts of Cannabis plants that are excluded from the CSAs definition of marijuana or that is not synthetic." https://openjurist.org/357/f3d/1012/hemp-industries-association
Q: How much CBD in mg. do you recommend I take for optimum effect?
A: Our products are marketed, labeled, and sold as dietary supplements, sometimes referred to as "food supplements" or "nutraceuticals". We are not medical professionals, and our products are not considered drugs, thus we are unable to offer "dosing" recommendations specific to CBD. We recommend you work with your healthcare professional to determine the correct use of our products to meet your health and wellness requirements.
Q: Is this product Organic?
Q: Will you ship Internationally?
A: No. Though we hope to do so in the near future, we will not ship our products outside of the United States at this time.
Q: Do you test your products?
A: Absolutely. A COA is available for our products upon request. It is our opinion that any reputable retailer of such dietary products should always have the COAs for their products available as a standard operating procedure.
Q: Other similar products say 500mg also, but are less expensive, why?
A: Yes, we are aware. If you look closely at the actual labeled content, you will see this is usually referring to the amount of "hemp oil" in the product, not CBD. Though this is a valid statement, it is NOT saying there is 500mg of actual CBD in the product, we are. Not only do we provide (upon request) a Certified COA (Certificate of Analysis) for our product to demonstrate the contents, we utilize nanotechnology to provide the most state-of-the-art, highest bioavailability possible. In short, the products are widely different.
Q: Do you guarantee your products?
A: We guarantee our products are what we say they are, and will arrive to you safely, and in an unadulterated condition. We cannot guarantee any specific effect from using our product.
Q: Do you take these products orally?
A: Aside from the Topical... Yes. This products are designed to be administered orally/sublingually. They can also be used topically, but we do not market them for that purpose.
Q: How should your products be stored?
A: Store tinctures in a cool location away from humidity, heat, and light. Refrigeration will not harm the product, but is not required. As the tictures are an oil, they will become more "solid" upon refrigeration (much like Olive Oil or Coconut Oil), requiring it to reach room temperature before use. Topicals are best stored in the refrigerator.
Q: What is the shelf life?
A: Each product has it's own expiration date. Generally speaking, when properly stored, most products have a shelf life of 12 months from preparation.
Q: Can this product be vaped?
A: This product is not designed for vaping, and we only recommend oral administration.
Q: Is this product flavored?
A: No, this is a natural product. There are no artificial flavorings or colorings added to this product. The naturally occurring terpenes in the oil give it an "earthy" or "hempy" taste, some say with a slight hint of lemon.
Q: Is the hemp oil in this product refined or unrefined?
A: The hemp oil in this product is considered "unrefined" and "virgin", meaning it is "full spectrum" and preserves the valuable, naturally occurring components of the plant, cold pressed, and processed from the highest quality materials.
Q: Why can you not answer my medical questions when it seems you clearly have the information?
A: Unfortunately, it is illegal for us to do so. The FDA staunchly prohibits such actions, not only wit products like ours, but with all natural and homeopathic products as well. Additionally, we can make no medical claims what-so-ever. To learn more about FDA regulations: https://www.fda.gov/
